Ing. Radko LOUČKA files. As the author, "Herding with dogs - methods of training manual, which was issued by the SCHOK Republic, Brno in 2008. Publications has a range of 88 pages. The text is a series of schematic drawings and visual Annex 16 of successful methodological color photographs.
Canine literature in our annually released quite a lot. Prevail, however, often works by foreign authors oriented mainly to popular and broad characteristics of breeding dogs. Growing interest in dog breeding is also a need for breeding new breeds. Not all breeds, however, have direct economic recovery and are bred for work and targeted assistance to people. Most breeds, however, such use is allowed. This is evidenced by the fact that increasingly large quantities of dogs to behave well in large cities. Here then performs primarily a social function, or therapeutic.
However many breeds of dogs bred for direct human assistance. In this way they have since time immemorial dogs used for hunting, for herding and guarding flocks. Herding dog is also at present an indispensable assistant keeper. About Shepherds shepherd dogs and this is particularly true.
To work with the herd to fit several breeds, or even dogs, whose origins are nepyšní long, or a famous pedigree. That in fact it is not always decisive. However, it is crucial that the dog was to do the job well trained. Train a dog to work with the herd is not easy. It requires patience, especially from farmers, self-discipline, consistency, character balance, love of the animal and of course the knowledge of how to proceed in training. It takes a lot of what the dog needs to learn. Is this what we really should know the keeper.
It is therefore very useful to our leading expert in breeding and training of shepherd dogs Ing. Radko LOUČKA files. summarized in the book "Herding with dogs ..." his extensive experience and knowledge. Their knowledge to formulate a very readable form, in essence, the "methodological guidelines how to proceed in training pastoral dog. The reader will find the book recommendations how to navigate the selection of the puppy already, then at different developmental stages of the dog to focus on what forms of dog training with regard to either work with the herd, and the normal, traditional sheep herding competitions in showjumping. Show jumping competitions have their own characteristics, motivation and charm because they apparently are becoming increasingly popular with farmers and popular with viewers. These competitions are easier organisable, compared to "classic flock competitions in control of shepherd dogs," in which competition would be at the disposal of at least two 200 piece balanced herd of sheep. This requirement is not with us today hardly feasible. Show-jumping competition, it is possible to organize courses, předvádištích, exhibitions, limited free spaces with a small group of sheep or other livestock.
Our farmers and lovers of dogs getting into the hands of a very valuable practical tool. Specialist knowledge of the author Ing. R. LOUČKY files. is based on the fact that they systematically breeding dogs since his childhood. Originally bred long-haired collie, the Czech mountain dogs since 1993 and a border collie. He was one of the first border collies breeders in this country and all who first began using this breed for herding sheep. He became an enthusiastic promoter of this breed. He contributed to the recovery of organizing competitions in the control of shepherd dogs. Maintain records of all tests performed in herding with us and our Republic is represented by the International Commission for the FCI in Brussels. As Chairman of the arbitration Cynologic Unity Minister for grazing. His erudition is also used in professional activities and work in SCHOK in the country.
I am convinced that the book "Herding with dogs - methodological manual training" will find every farmer, especially shepherd dogs, many ideas and helpful hints for his work with the dog and its training. I wish you good breeding success and happiness in the training of shepherd dogs, which is unthinkable without the work of a flock of sheep.
